It turns out that my grandma had my uncles and aunties with my grandpa’s friend. This issue has been going on for 2 years; my dad kept it to himself because he thought he was also part of it and was afraid to go do a DNA test. My grandma told him she isn’t sure if my dad is my grandpa’s son or his friend’s son; but she is sure that the rest of them are his friend’s children. My dad did the DNA test in February, and the results showed that he is indeed my grandpa’s son. My dad just told all of us what was happening, and he started crying, talking about the shame and disgrace; and all those sicknesses he was having were all because of this issue. My mom was shocked; she had no idea. He said he doesn’t know how to tell his siblings – 4 boys, 5 girls, all 9 together; only my dad is a child born from my grandpa. I am happy my dad isn’t part of it; imagine the embarrassment of changing my name on all my documents! Like, this is so painful. I feel for my cousins.
