My boyfriend of seven months engaged me over the weekend during his parent’s anniversary party. I accepted even though I didn’t want to because I didn’t want him to feel embarrassed. We got to his place that night and explained to him that I wasn’t ready for engagement, but we should take things slow. He got really angry and hit me, he told him to leave his house that night and it was past 1am. I am just asking myself what I did wrong!
