I asked my boyfriend of almost 2years if he was open to court marriage. Oga said over his dead body, and I don’t intend getting married without a registry wedding. Anyways we broke up, and he’s telling me how disappointed he is that I broke up with him over that. Apparently the court marriage isn’t the issue for my now ex, he reached out to ask if I changed my mind and I insisted that I still wanted a court marriage. Still trying to come to a compromise, I suggested he even decides the terms of the prenup. But he told me plainly, he’s only interested in traditional marriage, he’s not even going to do a white wedding. Turns out he doesn’t want any official wedding certificate. Anyways I’ve counted my loss, mourning my relationship and moving on. I ain’t settling.
