I work offshore. When I came back, my wife welcomed me warmly, but that night when I tried to touch her, she refused. She got out of bed, brought an HIV quick test kit, and handed it to me. I was shocked. When I yelled, she calmly said, “If you won’t do it, don’t touch me.” Out of anger, I did the test and even hurt myself in the process. It came out negative. Then she said, “No full test, no sugar.” I was done arguing. I’ve never cheated on my wife. not even while we were dating. But ever since her friend’s sister got HIV from her husband, she’s been paranoid. I later did a full test, all negative. I even called her parents to report her, and before returning offshore, I never touched her again.
