I recently moved to Italy to be with my husband but it feels like I am in the wrong country. This place is so stagnant, our people here are only concerned with working menial jobs & relationship matter. No single intellectual conversations (they’ll say you’re forming), talk of higher education or investments & they’ll call you adje butter. I built a beautiful career back home & on the path to gain more certificates, but here I’m just at home with my baby. My light feels dimmed. I’m thinking of moving to a neighboring country to study and meet intellectual minds but on the other hand, I’m a wife and mum. Sigh.
