When I first moved to Lagos, my neighbor mentioned joining tinder to meet people. I joined innocently and was lucky to meet a guy, who happens to be the only person I met off the app. We never crossed platonic lines, yet this guy is the reason my account hit 1m naira for the first time in my life. He had guided me to buy my first crypto. If not for him, I would not have afforded my rent that year – 2019. I have only briefly met him twice in person. We are now both happily married to other people and doing extremely well, though rarely keep in touch. He occasionally crosses my mind when I reflect on my journey. He deserves a big thank you gift from me for his impact in my life.
