I’m the kind of guy that likes quality for everything because they’re better. I budget myself to stay consistent with my preference even though I’m not in the earning bracket for such. But I have come to noticed that there’s this expectation people hold for individuals with this “quality” image. You’re expected to tip, don’t negotiate price, not to ask for free service & just be a big spender. Whenever I show otherwise / protest that I don’t have money, they’d respond that if I’m not seeing my car, the clothe I wore or my apartment, etc – that I’m supposed to spend because I have the money. It just feels aggressive, but I tend to fake laugh it off once this things are said
