Told my boyfriend I was going out for dinner with my close friend and might stay over because it could get late. It was just us girls and my friend’s boyfriend, we’d be at their apartment. He got really angry, accused me of lying and “wanting to do nonsense,” and said some really hurtful things. I panicked and lied, saying we wouldn’t stay at the apartment, just to calm things down. Now he says he’s mad that I lied, but hasn’t acknowledged how harshly he reacted in the first place. I’m confused and hurt. Was I wrong for wanting to stay with my friend. Was lying understandable in that moment or am I just missing something
