After breaking up with my ex, I started texting an old friend. As we texted, he revealed his intentions and told me he liked me. Honestly, I liked him too, but I didn’t want to rush into another relationship. I wanted to heal from the previous one on my own, without using another person as a distraction. It seemed he was in a similar situation, as his messages hinted that he still had feelings for his ex. He even posted her picture on his status at one point, making me feel like a rebound. I brought it up with him, and we discussed it. We stopped talking for a while, but recently we reconnected. However, it seems he’s now back with his ex, and his texts seem distant, shutting me out. So, maybe I’ll just rest.
