I let my girl go back to her ex. They never truly broke up it was complicated but fixable. He’s financially stable, from a well-off family, her first love/sex, and they spent four years together with their families involved. I couldn’t ruin that. We love each other, but I’m glad they’re back. I’m tearing up as I type, and I think I’ll stay single for now. I just want her happy, and he’s more marriage ready than I am. I am not where i want to be yet, still got a long way to go.

Going through the comments, I appreciate the community’s support. To be clear, she didn’t leave me for him I told her to go back after learning everything. She cried, and we barely slept two hours that night. We love each other deeply, and four years is a lot. Even though I’m stable, I won’t take someone’s girl. I have a long way to go. I feel lonely and sad, but time heals.
