My bestie and I have been friends for 4 years now. And I noticed I’ve been the one holding this friendship. She’s never there whenever I need her, but she doesn’t fail to call me when she needs help with money. I just feel like she’s using me!! I lost my mum last year 1st of February. 2 days to the day my mum passed, I was depressed and needed someone to talk to. Cause I don’t have any family members in Lagos. I just live here alone.. I called this babe multiple times and she never showed up. Finally laid my mum to rest. lol she didn’t even come for the burial. We didn’t speak to each other for months and she later apologized. Which I forgave her. Now, I noticed that whenever I send her an invite for a party . She always has an excuse.. like countless times. Even when I’m the one taking care of the bills. She barely even invites me out. I intentionally messaged her on Friday and immediately she lied that she has been calling me and I wasn’t picking lol. I checked my two phone, I didn’t see any sign of her calls. The last time I complain about her behaviors towards our friendship. She responded like I wasn’t meant to talk about it. At this point, I wanna cut off ties with her. She can’t keep calling me when she needs help and ignoring our friendship!! It’s not fair to me.
