My dad sent a text to my partner to thank her for helping me with something. She asked for my advice on how best to respond, I advised to drop a text and try calling. Just because I know my dad and I really do want them to like her. I asked the next day if she responded but proceeds to say she doesn’t see the need of calling so she only sent a text. If she asks me to do that, I would do it without thinking about it. I keep in touch with her family but once it comes to mine, it’s always a fight for her to try reaching out.
