I’m a Corper with about six months left with Nysc. I work with a company (not my ppa) where I go 5 times a week and they pay #20k monthly. I took the job mainly for experience because I spend more than half of the #20k on transport every month. My very good friend wants me to learn a trade and he promised to bear the cost that comes with it, so I’m thinking of taking a month-makeup upgrade class. It’s barely two months since I started my job and if I leave, my boss will have no one. I know I’m meant to put myself first but still I’m human and my coworker is also quitting soon. Also, I’m scared of what will come next after finish the upgrade class. Business doesn’t really move in this city so I’m scared because I don’t want to just be sitting at home doing nothing.

First thing you have to know is you can’t do everything. Second you need to know what you want to do. Do you have a career path you want that made you take the job so you can gain experience? Or are you the business type that wants to learn a trade? Figure out your type and you’ll know what to do. Besides you can decide to do the business and afterwards find a job to gfurther your experience or you can continue gathering experience and afterwards learn the trade. Your choice.
