Mum did an amazing thing and paid my tuition for my postgrad. I did almost everything else myself (flight, visa fees etc) and I’ve been working to pay my bills here. I even braid my own hair to save money. Meanwhile popsi is doing giveaway for his relatives. Was telling my mum that between my PhD and work, I’m exhausted. Popsi goes “remember your priorities” and I almost said “ogbeni, no add mouth abeg”

Saw some comments saying I’m childish. Honestly I feel no entitlement to his money, or my mum’s even. They’ve done their time and it’s theirs. My irritation was just that he was telling me to focus on my PhD when he knows that I barely make enough to eat after paying my bills. But feel free to judge 🤷🏽‍♀️
