My father beats my mum after 25 years of marriage. My mum can’t leave him because of my last sibling. Both of them were not meant to be but somehow they have stuck. My father isn’t a bad person but he gets violent with her and somehow makes her feel she deserve his treatment. I have suffer depression because of these events, sometimes my father becomes a saint and you’d never think he possesses an alter ego that could do the unspeakable. Both parents are religious and that has somehow sustained the relationship. My father believes God creates and destroys, so he can also reward and punish. I love my father but I keep losing my mind.
