I converted to Islam a while back but the bad press on Islam is just making it difficult for me to defend my faith and come out to my family. I don’t regret my decision but some days I feel drained. I just wish the extremists will stop putting Islam in a bad light and more people will understand that Islam is truly a beautiful and peaceful religion.
